Black Googler Network
BGN (Black Googler Network) is an employee resource group that aims to transform the tech industry to reflect its users’ diversity, cultivate Black leaders at Google and beyond, and empower the communities in which it operates. Members of the network create a community for each other thorough participation in discussion, events, and celebrations such as Juneteenth and Black History Month. Members of BGN are proud to share their talents and time with each another and the wider community outside of Google.

Black Googler Network (EMEA)
Alfred Pobi is on the executive committee for the Black Googler Network (EMEA), organising community events, chairing/supporting internal and external meetings, taking budgetary responsibilities, and contributing to Google’s DEI and equality initiatives.
Other community-driven groups of Google employees include Africans@Google, Asian Google Network, Disability Alliance, Google Veterans Network and PRIDE at Google. The company has over 250 chapters globally, with 52 countries represented and 35,000 participating Googlers.
